School Begins: The new school year marks the start of a new season for the CHS Fencing Club. This is the time of year when we begin our outreach to students looking to join clubs and add extracurricular activities.
School Starts
Practices
First Practice: Practices for the CHS Fencing Team begin the second week of school with this year's first practice being on August 14, 2024. Practice will be held on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 6:00. For the first two weeks we welcome ALL Campbell students that want to try out fencing. It's very common to have new fencers from all grade levels. To learn more use our Contact Us form.
New Parent Meeting
New Parent Meeting: Every year at the beginning of the school year we hold an informational meeting for parents of new students who are interested in fencing. At this meeting we introduce you to the Booster Club as well as go over all the required forms and the equipment each fencer will need. Additionally we review the team rules, team fees, and the volunteer requirements for all our members. There is a lot of information shared but remember we're here to help with any questions. This year's meeting will be held after practice on August 28, 2024.
Order Equipment & Pay Team Fees: We need to compile the team roster in order to comply the GHSFL deadlines. This means paying league fees and verifying all forms and submitting copies to the league. Only registered fencers are allowed to compete in tournaments. This is also the timeline for acquiring the fencing equipment needed.

Rosters Finalized: This date is an official date set by the GHSFL. It is the date when we hand deliver our official roster with all required and completed forms to the league. Only fencers listed on the roster can be considered as Campbell High School fencers. We are asking that all forms are turned in as soon as possible so that we can get them turned in to the league. Fencers may not be able to participate in league tournaments if forms are not turned in by the league's deadline.
Rosters Finalized
Tournaments Begin: This is when our athletes get to use their skills against fencers from around metro Atlanta. We will compete in 6 regular season tournaments this year and from those results the top male and female fencers are invited to the individual championship. There is also a team championship for teams that had 3 or more fencers at the individual championships. Tournament dates are listed on our calendar.
